What is Financial Peace University?
FPU is the most important step to changing your financial future. It is your Total Money Makeover Program. It takes the knowledge from God and turns it into real action in our lives through a step-by-step process taught by best-selling author and financial counselor Dave Ramsey.
FPU is a 13-week life-changing program that empowers and teaches you how to make the right money decisions to achieve your financial goals and God's plan for your life. The course includes practical lessons on eliminating debt, building wealth, giving like never before, and much, much more!

All are welcome! For more information, call Mary Beth Patnaude at 646-2830 or check out www.daveramsey.com .  Hope to see you there!

WHAT'S NEW IN THE LIBRARY.......

There’s a change of pace this month…a good mystery--The Baker’s Wife by Erin Healy.  Before Audrey was the baker’s wife, she was the pastor’s wife. Then a scandalous lie cost her husband his pastoral career. So now the two work side-by-side running a bakery, serving coffee and baking fresh bread.

While driving to the bakery early one morning, Audrey’s car strikes something—or someone—in a fog-shrouded intersection. She finds she has hit a motor scooter belonging to a local teacher. Blood is everywhere, but there is no trace of a body.

Detective Jack Mansfield knows that the scooter belongs to his wife Julie. When the lab report proves that the blood belongs to his wife as well, he is certain that Audrey is behind his wife’s disappearance. He figures that she is trying to get back at his family, because it was he who was responsible for Audrey’s husband being terminated at his church.

This story has so many twists and turns, it truly is a “mystery” until the very end. Erin Healey was a new author for me and I will no doubt purchase other mysteries by her in the future. Enjoy!
We will put this book in the “New Book” section now and later in the “Christian Fiction” section.

America for Christ Offering 2012

Engaging Discipleship

AMERICA FOR CHRIST gifts support Christ-centered ministries that touch lives and transform people across the United States and Puerto Rico--through evangelism training, church renewal and discipleship resources, volunteer disaster response plus initiatives that fight poverty and so much more.  As we read the gospels, we are presented with a loving Lord as someone who does things, not someone who did things. One of the greatest dangers of Christianity is to think of Jesus as someone to be remembered, instead of someone to be met and experienced. As the church in the 21st century, our calling is to help people see the power of the risen Christ in action today.

We are asking you to join us in giving generously to this year’s AMERICA FOR CHRIST OFFERING and help us reach our goal in support of making a difference in the lives of others for the cause of Christ.

Envelopes will be available in the pews during February for this offering or donations may be sent directly to the church office.
