Youth Pastor Characteristics:  Prior experience is not vital.  YP needs to be a responsible self-starter and someone with a vision to build youth and children’s programs, and of course a love for the Lord and a passion for His Church.

Church Characteristics:  A very warm and loving atmosphere!  This congregation has a very positive attitude and a wonderful spirit.  We are a small church, average attendance is about 75.  There are about 20 kids in our Sunday School program, 10-15 kids and pre-teens in our Youth Group.  The Youth Group is young with an average age of 11.  The church is in a seasonal community with an influx of visitors in the summer.

Other Considerations: It is not essential that a candidate be of the same denomination as long as she/he is comfortable working in a Baptist Church.
